XEL-CF3  MPBI-IDE Compact Flash Drive

Picture
If you are a Rapidus fan and intend to install that 65816 accelerator upgrade into your 1088XEL, then this variation on the XEL-CF3 IDE interface is a must have item. This new board was designed by AtariAge member ebiguy to give full clearance above the CPU socket so that the Rapidus board can freely plug in without obstruction. It also breaks out the accessory signals required by Rapidus, the VBXE, and even the MIDI interface such as the MIDI XEL or the MIDI XEL II, into individual right angle headers.

Electronically speaking this is an exact match for the original XEL-CF3 IDE interface board, and will work identically in all regards.

It sure is a lot of stuff to cram into a small space, but with ebiguy's board it all fits.
